I'm similar, but kinda more "uhh" and "ahh" sounds for me, feel it helps make that bridge into the word sometimes, or I think people have been referring to it as a "runway" here if I'm using that term...

I don't think substituting words is a good strategy in the long run. It only reinforces that (false) belief that some sounds are more difficult to pronounce than others....
