There will be a minority of people who think that way, but they aren't worth your time. The majority of people doesn't seem to care....
Same here! Been doing it on and off for my 9 years. It still bugs me every day but I get by. ...
Well, this post reminds me of something that I was forgotten trough my busy job with a lot of phonecalls, meetings and talking to a lot of people on a daily basis.......I Stutter too...... I get rar...
I tend not to bring it up because I don't really care whether or not people know, or whether or not they understand it if they happen to notice. If they want to ask me, I'm an open book. But consideri...
Watched the entire thing! Would love more of these. Just wanted to say you have a great voice and speak very clearly. You seem like a very-very mild stutterer. Are there situations where you stutter a...
No, I can't, because the science isn't done yet! But I can assure you it's not your fault :) Also, memory is complex too, so you don't have to necessarily connect it to your stutter....
>a subconscious choice That's not how it works. Just saying, it's not like it's your own fault. _(Also, "subconscious" is not a clear scientific term.)_...
That's pretty common. I find people will sometimes tell me they never knew I stuttered, they just thought I had a slightly odd way of speaking. I imagine it has something to do with that we are overl...

My Poetry Class I don't know when my stutter developed, though I think it developed later, since I only really started noticing it in college. (My parents would be no help, as they don't like to talk ...
Hi! Here's my personal anecdote for what it's worth. I had a significant stutter growing up. In 2nd grade I recall having a hard time saying my name sometimes. I grew out of it a bit by 7th grade a...
Fair enough, but you brought it up so i figured I'd talk about it. :P Sure it does. It's weird how everyone refers to women as a minority haha, I've heard so much in the media and it's not even true...
I never wanted it to be about who has it "harder" so to speak, rather just the differences we experience. I don't believe I said, nor did I ever want to imply, that one gender has it more difficult th...
In America you're the majority ;) 50.4% to be exact. So assuming you're from the USA you're the majority in a minority. :) I get you, but I wholeheartedly disagree with the dating thing. Just goin...
Glad to hear that. Yes, submissiveness also fits. I don't know where you live, but in many traditional societies (including my country of origin) femininity goes hand in hand with vulnerability and th...
I think I disagree with vulnerability being a feminine trait. I feel as though the word that would fit best here is submissiveness. Otherwise, all good points and I definitely see where you are coming...
Guy here, but I totally understand what you're saying. I often felt isolated myself because of my speech. However, I think that generally speaking, vulnerability is more expected from girls, because ...
Interesting points! I feel like stuttering can impact our confidence in different ways. With men, you feel this need to be confident as you mentioned above. As you also mentioned, stuttering makes t...
This is a very one-sided outlook to have on it. The kind of guy who finds vulnerability or lack of confidence an appealing trait in a woman is not the kind of guy you want to date. In literally any wa...
I've always had the exact opposite belief, as in that male stutterers have it harder in the dating world than female stutterers. Women find confidence in men very important and stuttering can make it...
I'm a woman who stutters! There are definitely fewer of us out there (4:1 ratio actually). Feel free to message me anytime!...
