That's pretty common. I find people will sometimes tell me they never knew I stuttered, they just thought I had a slightly odd way of speaking. I imagine it has something to do with that we are overly sensitive to our own stuttering and we pick up lots of disfluencies that other people will miss. We're just better at it than they are.
