That's going to take some active unlearning to stop, probably. Not quite sure if speech therapists deal with that sort of thing, but conceivably, if you control the stutter, you control the tic....

Totally agree! The speech pattern reminds me of something I used to do haha. Reminds me of a girl who I went I HS w/ who would casually sing everything to avoid her speech impediment....

Do you hide your stutter in general? If you're embarassed saying "upper person", you may as well just say "boss" instead. No reason to change your language if the result isn't an improvement....
