I'm 21 and chose the hardest job for me as a stutter could have (and qualified for). I chose to work at Starbucks. Working on the register, bar, drive through, and just communicating with my coworkers over headset has really helped my speech over the pass year. It helped me learn how to talk to people and increased my social skills and fluency to something I couldn't dream of a year ago. I remember the first time I had to walk up to the handoff plane and yell out someone's name and what they ordered. I stuttered loudly across the cafe. I was planning to quit after my first day. But I had to remember that was the reason I wanted the job in the first place. To force myself to talk and increase fluency. It's gone well so far. So if you are posting this in order to find a job that suits our speech impediment. Don't. You're only hurting yourself in the long run. Do something you love, even if you have to speak more than you want.
