While I agree, confusing his sister for his wife doesn’t help the cause. Sometimes it does seem he’s trying to cover a block. Other times I’m really concerned about his state of mind....

I don't think a lot of that is stuttering. Like he obviously has a stutter, you can tell when he uses word replacement and such but sometimes he does seem to genuinely forgot what is going on...

Yup. I think this is exactly what was going on. Might need medical evaluations to determine if there is any dementia or anything like that but this is my theory. ... Because I've done the same thing ...
