In my opinion, it is always better to own it. Then you won’t have to worry about trying to hide it (if you’re covert and use avoidance tactics), on top of the anxiety a job interview brings in general...

Yes. You should tell him when the interview starts (after you sit down, etc). You'll lose all that bottling up and hopefully some anxiety if you just announce it....
