I also do not stutter when I talk to myself. I also never stutter when I talk to animals or babies/todlers. Another time that I do not stutter is when I whisper....

The same here. Well known phenomena, the answer is novelty. Any novelty helps for a while. Some statterers are completely fluent while acting, talking foreign language etc....
