Non-stutterers focus more on facts (left-hemisphere) like words are just words, where PWS focus more on emotions (right-hemisphere) like feared words and situations. According to [this research](https://www.reddit.com/r/Stutter/comments/xq5f4v/what_are_your_thoughts_on_this_research_choral/), when PWS speak fluently when alone, there are differences in the brain between PWS and non-stutterers, but not when PWS speak fluently during choral speech. My interpretation is therefore, that we shouldn't try to imitate the mental state of fluency when alone (where PWS still monitor/intervene to control their fluency), rather the mental state of fluency during choral speech (where PWS don't try to control, where PWS completely let go of all control while being aware and having intention to breathe out during a block)
