Agreed that's the problem. You block because you won't let yourself stutter. Blocking is a learned behavior. It's learned and reinforced so much that it becomes automatic. It can be unlearned though. ...

I believe that hard blocking is almost *entirely* a result of trying not to have repetitions/prolongations. As soon as I was willing to let people hear repetitions, my blocks practically vanished....
