Red something about it, cursing and stuff is in the same brain regions as singing etc. so it wont activate stuttering the same way....

Just speculation, but maybe cliched curses like 'fucking piece of shit' is when your brain is in its comfort zone, just like when some of us add works like, ummm and ahhhs, or 'actually', 'I mean' etc...

Actually no. I stutter much more with strangers, especially on the phone. Which makes my sales job that much more difficult. Maybe I stutter a bit more around my dad but it's less of a big deal for me...

I think because we care more when we are speaking to loved ones and friends and that causes more tension as oppose to speaking with a stranger who we may never see again. I myself experience this too ...
