I know it is a kind of disability. But crippling? :O . Oh, and this "disability" occurs 1 in 100. So not so uncommon. I have met maybe 50 stutterers in my life....

Yes. If it wasn't a dis-fluency issue it could be something else. But playing the games of what ifs doesn't do anything. Also, I injected some of my own personal experiences...I didn't say it applies ...

Stuttering isn't something self inflicted. Ignoring it won't make it go away. It usually makes it worse because you're trying to pretend this very real thing isn't there or affecting you....
