Sorry, but I just disagree and can't relate to that. Suicidal thoughts are not caused by stuttering. All the things you listed--bullying, lack of support, dismissive parenting--these have nothing to actually do with stuttering. Stuttering may have contributed to them, but if it weren't a disfluency, it could have easily been something else. For someone to seriously consider taking their own life over something like a disfluency, there is something very wrong with them independent of their stutter, and I'd hope they'd seek help for it independent of their stutter. I'm saying this as someone who has been hospitalized for severe anxiety and depression. My stutter contributed to it, without a doubt. But the truth is, if my stutter were magically cured tomorrow, I'd just transfer that anxiety onto something else, like car crashes, or my bad teeth or wide hips. It's kind of worrying to me, that people believe their stuttering is the root cause of their biggest emotional and social problems. Depression and anxiety can and should be treated. A disfluency like most stutters will pretty much always be with you. Attaching them by causation strikes me as alarming. There's more hope than that.
