Perhaps you stutter in English *because* you are fluent. When learning a new language you really have to think about what to say which slows our speech down considerably....

It's the opposite for me. My stutter is significantly worse when I try to speak another language. I think it is a confidence issue for me, as I am uncertain of my pronunciation, grammar etc....
