I don't know if there's any conclusive figure for inheritability, but it's pretty sizable. That said, it can skip generations or not. I used to worry about it too, but like you I know when I have kids...

It was a speech jammer, but I don't remember the specific name. It was interesting because my friend was stuttering like crazy, but it had no effect on me-- in fact I spoke more fluent....
