When I'm reading in my head to myself, I don't stutter and i know that's the same for everyone. Sometimes in my dreams I don't stutter and it's amazing to talk fluently in your own subconscious world ...

I have a theory about stuttering... when we speak alone we don't really think on how we will speak, we don't antecipate the words right? they just flow smoth through or mouth... but we talk to friends...

It's called word substitution. I think most of us have done it at some point. I've stopped doing it though and try to say everything I want to, stutter or not. You can't always substitute anyway. ...
