So, no. Speech therapy is not a scam. Not all speech therapy is effective. I was fortunate to work with a top SLP who specialized in stuttering. It's extremely difficult to find the right therapy. There are a lot of factors that need to come together for success. You're right that there's no magic bullet for fluency. But fluency is attainable. For a good part of my life, I always knew I would stutter. I've learned differently. I'll always be a stutterer. But I am fluent.
