I also grew up delivering pizzas for my parents. To avoid this, I would take the order ticket with me but before I left the restaurant I would write the total on it and highlight it with a highlighter. If the customer asked how much, I would just show them the ticket. Wish it didn’t have to be that way but it did make life easier if you wanna try it!
