But their jobs aren't to console you and to teach you how to feel mentally okay with your stutters - their jobs are to teach you techniques to help you speak more fluently. They know that they obviously don't know what it's like to have a stutter, but the things that they teach you are valuable and I don't want people to ignore that just because they think that speech therapists don't know what feelings you have as a result of your stutter.
