I have trouble saying certain sounds, what can I do to make it easier?

I have trouble saying certain sounds, what can I do to make it easier? I sometimes have trouble saying words that start with a D or an L. I don't motorboat the sound, it just won't come out. My tongue locks up and I just can't get the word out. Is there anything I can do about this?
