I’ve been a Domino’s driver for over five years on and off. I’m a moderate stutterer, and taking the phones and talking to customers can be challenging if I end up stuttering really bad on a word or two. I have this weird fear of the number 7 because I always seem to stutter when I say it now. People don’t say anything about it, but I just wish I could be normal and talk like everyone else. I have a bachelor’s degree in political science and would likely enjoy teaching, or going into business, or running for office, but speaking is so exhausting to me that I have to play this game of give and take with how social I can be without having an emotional breakdown when I’m finally alone again. I fucking hate stuttering.
