me personally it depends on a lot of factors, like if I maintain eye contact with them(usually makes it easier to flow thru the words) but having to repeat myself also triggers word blocks and pauses, and I have a bad habit of wanting to rush my sentences when people want me to repeat myself, unfortunately i think that trigger is deeply ingrained bc it happens so often but I’m learning to accept it
