Please go for it and challenge yourself. Heres my reason: I took a job offer where I'd present in front of groups of people several days during the week. I took that job over a more quiet HR position to prove (to myself) I deserved that position DESPITE my stammer. I did a couple of things to prepare for that position: 1. Speech therapy (and I practiced the exercises) 2. I rehearsed and practiced in front of my husband and cat. 3. I prracticed in front of the mirror. My colleagues, boss, and everyone else found out about my stutter but many didn't care; what they remembered was an energetic and passionate presenter. They remembered the content of my presentation. I got many positive feedback. Your boss sees something in you and you should probably try exploring whatever that thing is. I left that job because it became exhausting for me. So in the end, my stammer did get in the way, but I'm so happy I got that experience. I know I can get up on a stage and still shine, even with my stutter, even if temporarily.
