Social life with a stutter M 19. Among other cases there is this girl I had a thing for in class8 (equivalent of middle school) we both finished highschool last year and she would like to meet. We haven't seen each other or heard from each other ever since. Am also dying to see her but am ashamed that i stutter. She doesn't expect me to be still stuttering.. actually more than i used to in primary school. Stuttering has basically sabotaged my social life. I have very few friends that are not even that close. Female friends are close to zero. Its harder to even maintain friends than get them. I doubt there is someone who can call me his close friend bcs you have to connect with someone to get close to them. How do you connect without speaking your mind. There are relatives I haven't had a conversation with some being agemates. Am also quite socially anxious.. i wont go into detail. How do you think stuttering has affected your social life and what do you think would be different if you didn't stutter.
