I'm sorry that happened. Still you volunteered to coach the team and spend time with your nephew. I'm sure that must have been a challenge to accept that role knowing the challenges that come with stuttering and communicating clearly. Despite those challenges you didn't let that stop you from wanting to get out and socialize. Too many times we let our anxieties of stuttering control us. You didn't! Maybe things didn't go as you expected but I hope you don't give up so easily. You took a big step to do what you did. Unfortunately some people aren't as understanding and don't realize how impactful their actions are. We can't control what others do but we can control how we react to them and how we feel. I wish you the best!
