Can I really do something against my stuttering?

Can I really do something against my stuttering? (First of all sorry for my bad english) I'm generally a shy person and barely talk to people, but I have no problems having to talk to someone or participate in class. BUT when I have to stand in front of my class to talk about something I will start to stutter like CRAZY. I cannot control it, I try to calm down and no matter how calm I am I will start stuttering, as soon as I open my mouth to say something. On the upcoming thursday I'll have a presentation which has to take at least 15 minutes and it will count as an exam so my final grade will be impacted if I mess up. I already talked to my teacher about my struggles and all she did is giving me tips... tips that are useless to me and always the same: Learn in front of a mirror, have someone you know be your audience etc. Those tips aren't helpful to me, I already tried everything. This isn't my first presentation, I always stuttered. A year ago I had a small presentation and even though I was really confident, everything written on a paper and even my group members I practiced with were next to me. I still stuttered just when I started talking. It's always soo embarrassing. Worst thing is it was just a 1min presentation but now I have to do 15, that's just absurd for me :( Is my teacher right, can I really stop my stuttering just from practicing? Am I overreacting, is it my fault?? I really don't know what to do on thursday :/
