I used to work at my local library. I helped people borrow books, find things, answered the phone. I talked to people every day. At first I was really insecure and scared but with time it got easier. I wasn’t nervous about answering the phone anymore. My stutter got better too. Sure I stuttered from time to time and got blocks but people didn’t really care, at least they didn’t say anything. I think stuttering is connected to how confident we feel. When I was more secure in my job I stuttered less.
