My Dad had a severe stutter, I would say mine is moderate, my sisters and brother dont have it. I do do think there is a genetic component. Whatever the reason we are stuck with it, yesterday I couldn't tell someone my first name no matter how hard I tried. I find my stutter is better if I keep the stress in my life to a minimum.
