Issue with ‘some’ in this community. Lot of people in this community allows their stutter to dictate their lives. I occasionally especially when nervous/stress/super tired have a severe stutter aka ‘block’ yet, I still work, attend college, talk to strangers, etc. I’m enjoying the beauty of life. YOU SHOULD BE TOO. If you’re allowing your stutter to prevent you from relationships, or having kids, or whatever, you simply, but bluntly need therapy. I’m not trying to dismiss how anyone feels. I too get aggravated, frustrated, and upset with this disability. But what is life if we aren’t living it? There is people in all occupations that stutter. From Doctors, educators, blue collar workers, to the Damn President. If that isn’t enough to tell you, that you can do whatever in life, I don’t know what will. I hope those of you struggling won’t see this post as me insulting you, or downing you. As I have BEEN YOU. For years, I wouldn’t do shit. Once upon a time, I wouldn’t even order from restaurants. I wouldn’t go into the gas station, just use my debt card to pay for Gas. Then one day I woke up, and realized I wasn’t truly living. I hope this is a kick in the ass for many of you that makes these ‘troubled’ post here. Enjoy your lives! We only get one.
