The issue is 'communication skills'. There are many, many people who don't stutter who have appalling communication skills, and that includes academia. Likewise, there are people with speech impediments and other maladies who have excellent communication skills. A teacher is assessed by their communication skills. Anyone who categorically denounces 'stutterers' as impaired is one step away from eugenics. The professor you speak of is an \*ssh\*le and should not be in a position to spread his bile to impressionable students. I advise you to 1) file a formal complaint about this professor with staff and 2) withdraw from that class in favour of another class. That professor isn't fit to teach.
