I feel the same way! I also consider myself a pretty mild case as I can get through most sentences without blocking on many words. When i'm feeling down about it, it helps to think that my stutter could be much worse. My English teachers never called on me specifically to try and help "fix" my stutter, but each student would read a paragraph out loud going up and down the classroom rows. I remember the anxiety well as my turn to read approached, and I also thought 'nobody else in this room gets it'. I was glad to find this sub too!
