Oh! I went through that years ago in university. Though I’ve fully ( female ) recovered now through psychotherapy, I sadly remember my undergrad days and wishing I could be like everyone else and communicate fluently. The embarrassment was horrible. I just had to wait, though, until I was 70! My recommendation is to avail yourself of any and all help. Speech therapy, psychological therapy and peer support. Even if you get help from university students, it is help. There’s a fantastic YouTube channel from an neuro-psychiatrist who has studied the physiological cause of stuttering and believes it’s treatable with medication. His studies are interesting because he stutters too. Please check him out. It removes the awful stigma we carry just knowing stuttering is a medical condition and treatment is on the way. Check out YouTube ‘Dr. Gerald Maguire’.He takes a multi disciplinary approach and says to do everything you can to help yourself. Good luck, Sue
