He’s great The visit was very lengthy and he's brilliant. Unfortunately, he can't prescribe to patients who live out of California and you need a doctor who treats you in your area to concede with him for prescribed medicine. My local psychotherapist, a prescriber, had to work with him. He did suggest a medication that is a newly released thing. Its very expensive but my insurance covered most of it. Unfortunately, it didn't have any positive effect on my stuttering which was minor at the time of my appointment. In addition, it didn't help my depression. This drug has changed the life of a friend but not me. Everyone’s brain chemistry is unique and people respond based on the neurotransmitters that relate to the individual cause of their stuttering. I live near a medical school with a speech therapy department. I'm going to see them (I've never had speech therapy before although I'm a 77f) my stuttering is mild and perhaps they have some tips for me. I do plan to return to Dr. Maguire next year though. Don't let my lack of success deter you. Everyone is unique. What didn't help me might help you. Keep trying.
