I’m not a cashier specifically, but I learned how to use them last year because I felt a little bad when they would call for help and there was no one else to run up. I can say practiced phrases like “Do you have a Kohl’s Card you would like to use?” well, but any small talk makes me stutter. I can come up with responses but it gets worse when they don’t keep it going after I stutter during my turn. Then I feel awkward. :/
