I'm not even nervous and I stutter I've been stuttering nearly all my life. I keep on reading that one main reason for stuttering is because we are either nervous or anxious. I stutter while talking to my parents and my girlfriend, whom I have no reason to be nervous about. I can't understand why it happens. I also realized that I stutter with words that start with certain letters such as T or S. My tongue get paralyzed for some reason, even though I know exactly what I want to say, my mouth won't allow me to say it and I start stuttering and squinting my eyes to muster up the courage to say the word. It's demoralizing seeing people giggle and smile when they hear me stutter, and just makes me want to shut up and not say anything. I watched "The Kings Speech" and tried to implement his tactics, it worked for a while but it just didn't seem to be effective.
