Great advice. This is my attempt to summarize this in my own words: * "stigma" refers to a negative or unfavorable association or perception that people who stutter might have towards the act of stuttering on a feared word, further associating their stutter with a specific word. This can create a psychological barrier or negative feeling every time we try to say that word. This negative association can lead to feelings of embarrassment, self-consciousness, or even anxiety when faced with situations where we need to say that word. * Once a negative association between our stutter and a word is formed, it can be challenging to overcome or change that perception. Negative result: It can create a mental block that makes it even more difficult to say that word fluently, perpetuating the cycle of stuttering when encountering that specific word. * Conclusion: So, the advice to "detach the stigma of the word" is about working on reducing the negative associations with the word by repeatedly practicing saying it, especially with people who are understanding and supportive. By doing this, they hope to build up confidence and comfort around saying the word, gradually breaking the mental connection between the word and the negative feelings associated with stuttering. This process is aimed at helping them speak more fluently and confidently, regardless of the word they struggled with before. I agree with your tips! Did I miss any other points?
