Because we don't remember we stutter. I have read somewhere, (I don't if it's right) That we don't even remember our name for first few seconds of waking up. I feel like when we use to stutter for years, we start to anticipate we are going to stutter or it's fixed in our subconscious mind eventhough we are capable of speaking fluently. This is just my assumption.
