Please try speaking on an *exhale*. Taking a “maybe deep inhale” might work for some, but the science is that fluent speakers usually begin on a regular sized exhale - and then the pressure in your lungs automatically regulate to not need to take big gulps of air. When I started speaking on exhales while making eye contact, my blocks quickly reduced from hundreds/day to only a few.
