I "manage" to live in this world because things get better. Things get better when we believe that things can get better. I feel your pain because your stories also brought back a few memories of my own. From my own experiences, the first thing I practiced was my breathing. To help with my breath during speaking and to calm me down. You should research different breathing exercises to do. Or, as someone else said, consider going to speech therapy.
