Yes. I’m a former Registered Nurse. Throughout nursing school we had presentations weekly. It was a nightmare. Once I graduated, I didn’t realize how much we had to speak on the phone with doctors. I kept thinking what if I had to communicate an urgent matter (life or death)… the doctors already had a hard time understanding me and some would groan because they had no patience. I’m now on disability. I want to go back to work but I know it’s not a good fit. Thinking of returning to any workforce feels like a dream as most of what I would like to do requires further education.
