To be clear, no one on here can confirm for you whether it is TBI related or not. Only a professional can determine that. We are just letting you know that TBI's have been known to cause speech issues including stuttering. I understand the need for a self esteem boost. Proper therapy, regardless of the cause, is extremely valuable. Personally I struggle with toxic core beliefs about stuttering I have developed over the last 30 years. As you will read in many of these post stuttering is not as big a deal as we make it out to be. Most of my severe blocks are actually a result of me trying not to stutter or the fear of stuttering. In the words of philosopher René Descartes "I think therefore I am." My stutter is cognitive, and I have had great improvements with cognitive based therapy. However, If you believe at some point you suffered a TBI, please see a professional.
