We as a community need to accept our speech more. It's so hard when we're constantly surrounded by people who speak differently than us. We fall into our anxieties which could hinder our professional growth as the research implies. But, in reality, this doesn't represent our actual potential. I just launched the first Slack-based community for professionals who stutter two months ago which already has 140+ individuals who stutter. We have a Partner at Bain and a Senior Director of AI at Walmart in our group who definitely make more than the average professional regardless if they have a stutter! Feel free to join the community if you're interested - it's totally free ([www.stutterfreely.com](https://www.stutterfreely.com)). The idea here is, we need to accept the way we are and show the world all the unique skillsets and offerings we have. It's much easier said than done and that's why a community for professionals who stutter helps facilitate this journey. We need to uplift each other and build more unity. Stuttering is just our accent and nothing else! Cheers to personal growth! :)
