At the beginning of the year, I had to give it up because I was gonna start a new job. After 3 months without smoking, I had also made the decision to seek speech therapy. I made my initial consultation for therapy and wasn’t going to start weekly sessions for another two months. I was also working out during this time and lost 30+ pounds. So I’m not sure if it was the lack of smoking or losing weight and building confidence that I felt really improved my speech. Even my therapist noticed that I spoke more fluently than during my first visit 2 months back. In my opinion, it takes time to see results. I would quit for a few months and see how things go. Alcohol too if you drink.
