I'm exactly the same. Like /u/happyfridgemagnet my stutter comes in waves. Some days I don't stutter at all, and then other days I can barely speak. Unfortunately this means some people never hear me truly stutter, so when I try to talk about how hard it can be I get, at best, the well-meaning platitudes of "Everyone stutters a bit sometimes", "I didn't even know you had a stutter", etc. At worst they're probably sitting there thinking, "You don't have a real problem, stop over-dramatising."
