Yeah, that sucks. I am 48 and have idiot co-workers that still think it is okay to make fun of me. However, that is a reflection of their bad character, not you. When I was younger, I never talked about my stutter but I do as necessary now. I explain to them how long I have stuttered, why I stutter and how it makes me feel (we all know that people assume we are stupid because we stutter). Knowledge is power is not just a phrase. I recently did Junior Achievement (teach a class for a day). I had a 1st grade class. I told the teacher before hand that I stuttered. When I stuttered for the first time, I told the kids that I stutter and have all my life, yadda yadda yadda. No one made fun of me and they were all incredibly sweet and cute. I had a “friend” who used to make fun of my stutter all the time. I told her why I stutter and she said that now she felt bad for making fun of me. WTF?!? You should have felt bad before knowing that. You will always have assholes and they are not worth your time. I figure someone would ask.... my mother was diagnosed with parasupranuclear palsy. She started showing symptoms, including struggling to talk, when I was around 4 years old. Ergo, I learned to talk from her. You’ve got this! And know you have friends here.
