Singing, voice changes (happens quite often now goofing around with my daughters), after a couple beers, or any sort of written out announcement and I'll be clear as a bell. Quite an odd instance from about 15 or so years ago. In high school I worked at a local diner/burger joint and we would prepare the orders and then call the customers number for them to come grab their food at the counter. Quite often, if they were outside or around the corner and it was busy, you couldn't hear, so they had a PA system for us to read orders, and of course most of us would drum up our suave radio voice for calling orders. I worked there for 4 years and only ONE time had a stuttering issue while calling an order into the mic. The only odd thing though, was that the mic wasn't on! The owners daughters who was working at the same time looked over and was like "hey you forgot to turn the mic on". Sure enough, I flip the switch on the mic and it was like the switch flipped in my brain as well..."Order number 237, 237 your order is ready" comes our perfect. Stuttering is so damn weird and frustrating at times. Even after years of meeting with a SLP and lots of hard work personally, it can be so hard to completely get away from it.
