You're right that stutters are treatable and not cureable. Not sure why some people are having an issue with your post, aside from the way you may have phrased things. I hate seeing people say they "accept their stutter" and never try and treat it. It's not about accepting your stutter, it's about accepting your stutter journey. Accepting the fact that I will have to navigate this my entire life. I accept that challenge and face it forthrightly. That's what everyone has to do, not throw in the towel and say "this is just how I am".
