How do you deal with block stuttering?

How do you deal with block stuttering? I've got a block stuttering and I've been taught many tricks, like gesticulating with your hands, stressing less the initial consonant of a word, taking a breath and starting the word while exhalating... But I have a really hard time applying all these and very rarely see its utility. Any other alternative trick you might use? I know it doesn't come off easy, but either way I'd like to know.
