Let's be real here - stuttering is a problem Can't remember when exactly I joined this sub-reddit. What I do know is, since I've joined, there's been a lot of talk about people's problems with stuttering. Resulting in many people venting their frustration, their anger; even making the statement of having suicidal thoughts. Telling us things like it's an "obstacle" or a "challenge" that they have to overcome. With a lot of the same thoughts of difficulty being shared on a consistent basis. It takes me back to when I was younger and going through the same issues. When my stutter was severe, I felt victimised by it. My parents, friends, and others in my school/work could see it was bringing me down. It killed my confidence; leaving me with low self-esteem and thinking that all hope is lost with positive social interactions. This is also what I see on here. I can clearly see a lot of people are consumed by their stutter, yet say they "don't give a fuck" about it. Difficult to be ignorant about something that completely affects your life. So then it bears the question: What do we do about it? Luckily I'm in the position where I've overcome my stutter. After so much hard work and experimentation I'm able to speak great wherever I go. Since I've joined here I've shared a few things about what I've done. Half the time it's met with positive feedback - the other half met with uncertainty and disgust. So what I've done is put everything I've done to overcome my stutter in one video. Before I get into it, it's important that we're completely honest with ourselves about our speaking. Otherwise you'll have a harder time improving. That's definitely the first "step". The link to the video is below. I hope it finds you well and helps make things easier for you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6zkZwcXMcys
