Hey I’ve had a pretty strong stutter throughout my childhood and young adult hood, each year getting slighter better but it’s still very much with me, I’ve noticed, my stutter is at its complete lowest when I’m on a date with a girl that I’ve already atleast broken the first barrier with(talking on the phone, already know them before the date, etc.) but once I’m past that im more fluent in those moments, than I am talking with my own friends and family. Even sometimes SOMETIMES giving speeches, it’s like my brain knows: now is not the time to screw up, it’s not 100% guaranteed, however my psychology works in that way, maybe try to learn how to be comfortable in performance mode. Like an athlete being completely calm in the middle of a game, hope that makes sense.
